第10回日本コンピュータ外科学会大会

　第10回日本コンピュータ外科学会大会が11月11日，12日の両日九州大学医学部コラボステーションで杉町圭蔵大会長のもと開催されました．本年も第11回コンピュータ支援画像診断学会大会との合同開催で，第1日目には合同特別講演，合同国際シンポジウム，合同懇親会が，第2日目には合同シンポジウムが行われました．

　合同特別講演では，ベルギーSaint Pierre University HospitalのGuy B. Cadiere先生より "The Role of Surgical Robots in Gastrointestinal Surgery" のタイトルで講演があり，また合同国際シンポジウムでは ﾓProgress and Facing Problems of Surgical Robotsﾓ のタイトルでシンポジウムが開催され，いずれも近年適用範囲の広がってきた手術支援ロボットに関する話題が提供されました．
また合同シンポジウムでは「診断・治療支援のための画像データ整備〜必要画像のネットワーク化に向けて〜」のタイトルで，CT，MR等のデジタル画像の統合化，データベース化，ネットワーク化に関する取り組みが腹部外科，脳外科，肺癌診断，乳癌診断，医療情報システムの各専門の先生方から紹介されました．

　一般演題では手術ロボット，手術場環境，臓器モデリング，ナビゲーション，ＶＲ・トレーニング，手術機器，内視鏡，画像に関するセッションが開かれ昨年より19件多い総計75件の最新の研究成果が発表されました．


日本コンピュータ外科学会第10回総会

　 第10回日本コンピュータ外科学会大会の初日11月11日の一般講演終了後，Ａ会場：コラボレーション視聴覚ホールにて第10回総会が開催されました．平成12年度の事業報告，収支決算報告，平成13年度の事業計画，収支予算案が議題として提示され，すべて異議無く了承されました．

　また，コンピュータ支援外科学会の北島政樹会長との協議の経過が報告され，今後協力関係を推進し，日本コンピュータ外科学会とコンピュータ支援外科学会の統合化に向けて話し合いを進めていく方針が全会一致で了承されました．さらにマルチメディア外科研究会，テレサージェリー研究会とも同様に統合化を進めていく方針があわせて了承されました．


MICCAI 2002 お知らせ

　Fifth International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MI-ICAI 2002)が日本の東京大学にて開催されます．本大会に対しては日本コンピュータ外科学会も全面的に協力を行う予定です．会期と会場を以下に示します．

会　期：2002年9月25日 〜 28日
会　場：安田講堂，東京大学

　また原稿募集の期限は以下のようになっています．申し込みに当たっては論文(最大8ページ)をPDF形式で大会ホームページより投稿する形式となっています．

第６回医用工学・福祉工学国際会議
